Celebrating Christmas in West Drayton

The chilly nights and bright crisp days are creeping in, and our florist shop is full of crimson flowers and cinnamon scents - which means Christmas is near! We love all the local festivities that take place in November and December locally; from Carols by Candlelight, Ice Skating and Craft Fairs, there is something for all the family to enjoy. We round up some of our favourite local activities taking place in Winter 2019 to help celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.

Santa Dash to raise money for Charity

Slide into you Santa suit and pull on your best running trainers for the Harefield Hospital Santa Dash! Taking place on 1st December 2019 at Ruislip Lido, all the money raised this year will go towards Harefield Transplant Appeal.

You can dance, prance or walk your way round the 1.8km route whilst raising money for a worthy local cause. Entrance is £20 per adult or £10 per child, and includes your Santa suit and chocolate medal - find out more details and book on the website.

Festive Afternoon Tea

From the 29th of November, Stoke Park Hotel Afternoon Tea’s are turning festive! Set in the grand surroundings of the historic building with roaring open fires, you and your guests can relax and enjoy a festive afternoon tea created by award- winning chef Chris Wheeler and his team.

Their festive menu cleverly includes all our Christmas favourite flavours with a twist; including roast turkey and cranberry relish sandwiches, snowman macaron, brie and fig chutney sandwiches and homemade mince pies. Christmas never tasted so good!

Wreath Making at Osterley Park

Get hands on at Osterley Park this winter with their Christmas Wreath Making Workshops. You will learn the basics of creating your own door wreath to take home, made with foliage collected from the estate by the gardeners. Pop in to the café after to warm up with  a mug of Mulled Wine and festive slice of cake.

Christmas Inspiration and breakfast with Santa

Jump in to Christmas at Ansell Garden Centre this December! This family-run business love Christmas, and their elves have turned the garden centre into a stunning Christmas Grotto to explore. They have 4 themed sections on the shop floor for decorating inspiration; traditional, elf and gingerbread, snow queen and woodland theme.

With Christmas trees, gifts perfect for stocking fillers and home decorations you can easily spend a few hours exploring. And on Sundays leading up to Christmas in December, you and the kids can join Santa for breakfast. Booking for breakfast is essential!

Panto Perfection

Christmas isn’t really Christmas until you have been to a Panto! Book you and the family a pantomime delight at Beck Theatre in Hayes, whose panto this year is Sleeping Beauty - starring Strictly Coming Dancing Foxtrot queen Debbie McGee. Packed with all our favourite pantomime traditions, a sprinkle of song and dance, laugh-out-loud moments and family friendly festive fun.

Sleeping Beauty is running at Beck Theatre from Friday 6th – Sunday 29th December. Waltz on over to the website to book your tickets - tickets start from £24 per person.
